Palace on Wheels - Terms & Conditions

RESERVATION/ CANCELLATION POLICY

The reservation/cancellation of passenger on the Palace-On-Wheels may be done as per the following terms and conditions:

Booking:

(i) 25% of ticket value at the time of booking
(ii) 75% of ticket value 30 days prior to departure

Cancellation:

(i) 5% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
(ii) 20% of ticket value 30-59 days prior to departure
(iii) 50% of ticket value 15-29 days prior to departure
(iv) 100% of ticket value 14 days prior to departure

* Tariff of the Palace on Wheels is subject to change without any prior notice.

* Your online booking confirmation is subject to the availability of seats on the desired dates and clearance of your payment cheque or demand-draft.

* We would send you the confirmation of your booking within 24 hours. Your payment would not be debited from your A/C until confirmation of your booking is received from the RTDC.

* Tariff is inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sightseeing/entrance fee at monuments/parks/palaces/cultural programmes/camel ride/boat ride/rickshaw ride and for still cameras, Guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.

Note: 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/New Year.

CHECK IN:

Reporting time is 4 pm at Delhi Cantt Railway Station

MEALS:

The two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and the Maharani, serve a range of Rajasthani, Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Menus are changed seasonally.

EXCLUSIVE CHARTERS:

Companies can organise a "Business-cum-Pleasure" trip by chartering the truly luxurious Palace-On-Wheels for their conferences.

CLIMATE:

Varies from 8oC to 25oC between September to March and in April around 30oC.

CLOTHING RECOMMENDED:

Light tropical/light woollens.

OTHER FACILITIES:

Doctor on call at the next station
Adequate safety and security arrangements
Complimentary mineral water on board/ in the coach during sightseeing/ and at hotels.
Assistance for travel arrangements on completion of the tour.
Voltage available on the train 110/230 V.
